Calato Jumped Nations Cup’s for Denmark successfully, he is producing offspring with great temperament, attitude and scope.

 

Calato begun his sporting career under Herbert Blocker, who started him successfully with the 5 and 6 year olds at the Bundeschampionart. Under the junior rider of Denmark, Jennifer Fogh Petersen he continued his sucessful career and together they won the Nordisch and Danish championship from the young riders and were also successful in the Nationscup from Denmark.He undoubtedly belongs to the top jumping horse breeding stallions in Holstein. His son, Coster won in 2003 with Christian Ahlmann the individual and team European Championship and was in the German team for Athens Olympics. More successful international Calato offspring are Graziana, Index, Cleopatra, Callistro, Cactus L and Corinessa. His first 9 year old son Clausen will look forward to a very successful career. Calato's jumping genes undoubtedly come from his father Capitol I but also his mother, Vanessa III, was a Champion mare from her year at the Elite Mare Show and represented the Holsteiners at the National Champion Mare Show with sucess. She was at the Bundeschampionart with Marco Dirk and went on to win a lot of Grand Prix classes with Thies Luther.From Calato's motherline comes the superstar jumping stallion of Ireland, Cavalier Royale, Cicero and Courage and the highest Contender mare ever in Holstein, the State Premium mare, Novia.

 

The Holstein Association stallion Calato is one of the most prolific sons of Capitol I in the Holsteiner breed. He is captivating through his beautiful face; large expressive peaceful eyes; his well-set neck; and his well-marked topline. Calato completed his Stallion performance test at the top of his age group in Medingen in 1990. In 1996 he was licensed by Studbook Zangersheide He began his sporting career under Herbert Blöcker, who started him successfully at the German Federal Championships (Bundeschampionart). Under the Danish junior Jennifer Pedersen Foghd he continued his career. Together, they won the Scandinavian and the Danish Championship of Young Riders and were also victorious in Nations Cup for the Danish team. Calato has exceptional jumping genes. Not only from his father Capitol I but as well his mother, the Landgraf I daughter Vanessa III. She was champion mare of their year at the elite mare show under Marco Dierk and jumped successfully at S Level (1.60m) with Thies Luther. From Calato’s motherline come the successful international showjumping horses Spiga (Leopold v. Asten), Aldato (Henrik Emil), Kira (Ludo Philippaerts) and the Caprivi Stallions and Loxgraf, Q-Verdi, Cicero, and Cavalier Royale.
