Lamondo GNZ's SIRE: Lordano has an outstanding character and extraordinary rideability.  He was a remarkable show-jumper, delivering incredible results in his short competition career.  His progeny are now also delivering great results from all around the world, in eventing, dressage and show-jumping.

Lordano was a stallion with enormous ability and unlimited potential.  The results from his stallion performance test in Neustadt / Dosse 1996 were:

Overall score 123.58        (3/32)
Dressage score. 110.91   (9/32)
Jumping score. 132.77     (3./32)
2003 Breeding Value Index:

Jumping  128 (78%)

Prior to 2002, Lordano was a popular stallion in Rheinland-Pfalz.  Before 2003, Lordano was competed internationally (to 1.60m) by Swedish show jump rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson.  His first competition was none other than the famous and notorious Hamberg Derby; Considered to be the hardest course in the world by many.  Lordano had a faultless round, making history and placing an incredible 3rd.

Tragically just a few weeks after this success Lordano suffered an injury that ended his athletic career too early.

Lordano's grandmother, Larese was one of the most desired Farnese daughters in Holstein. She is the dam of none other than the famous showjumper Chin Chin, who finished 6th in the individual competition at the Olympic Games in Seoul with his mount,  Jaime Azcarraga.  He also participated in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona.

Also from Larese is the very successful horse Collin by Contender who with the only clear round won the Hamburg Derby in 2004 with Toni Hassmann.

The father of Lordano is Lord. Lord himself was an exceptional type and several of his offspring went on to compete at Grand Prix level successfully.  Lordano's Dam Line CORIOLAN features  the dominant bloodlines of CALYPSO II, COR DE LA BRYERE, CAPITANO.

Alongside Lordano, stands his son Lamondo GNZ, who commenced a competition career recently with NZ rider Logan Massie.

Lamondo GNZ is showing all the outstanding attributes of his father!  Lordano's oldest progeny, are only now beginning to commence their competition careers in New Zealand. We are very excited to watch them develop.  Riders like Katie Laurie (NZ Olympic Rider based in Australia) and Logan Massie (who has recently returned from working for Irish Olympian Cian O'Conner) are on Lordano progeny and while it is early in their competition careers, these horses are showing incredible athleticism, scope and power.

Outstanding 6 year old son of super stallion Lordano. An exciting young stallion combining blood and power.

An opportunity to breed to the direct family through the dam line of the 2012 European championships gold medal team winner for Ireland in Aachen.

Outstanding son of super stallion - Lordano.

Lordano was an international GP show jumper with Rolf Goran Bengtsson.  Rolf jumped clear to gain 3rd place in the prestigious Hamburg Derby, beating horses such as Corrada  - three times winner of the Hickstead Derby with Peter Charles.

LAMONDO’S mother Lamona is an imported Holsteiner, mother of three approved stallions and numerous world cup winning horses.

LAMONDO GNZ is an outstanding individual standing at 16.3hh of modern blood type.  Lamondo GNZ is the perfect out cross for “Cor De La Bryere” and “Capitol” bloodlines and also will be a perfect cross for the NZ TB, endless scope and rideability.
